Pedrini Cento Cup
Lake Garda

Paulo CIAN(ITA), ranked 9 in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings, went home with a victory following the culmination of the ISAF Grade 1, Pedrini Cento Cup, held on Lake Garda in Italy.
The four-day competition saw skippers from as far a-field as Australia competing for a prize pool of over $24,000. The usual America's Cup teams were there, including the OzBoyz Michael DUNSTAN (AUS), as well as a host of up and coming match racing stars. Paul CAMPBELL-JAMES, one of the youngest skippers in the tour, is steadily improving his position in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings and a good result in Italy will have done his quest any harm at all.

Cian, with thirteen wins in the competition, looked dominant from day one and started the campaign with victories over Carlo FRACASSOLI (ITA), Dunstan (AUS) and Matteo SIMONCELLI on his way to a hard fought final against the higher ranked Mathieu RICHARD (FRA).

The Mascalzone Latino America's Cup Skipper eventually dispatched Frenchman Mathieu RICHARD in the final to take home his first grade 1 victory in the last couple of years.

Richard finished second and in the petit final, Matteo SIMONCELLI (ITA) dispatched another French skipper, this time Phillippe PRESTI surrendering to the Italian might in the one race sail-off.

The event was organized by the Gargnano and Limone Yacht Clubs under the patronage and sponsorship of the Lombardy Region Council, the province of Brescia, the Riviera dei Limoni, and the town and hotel association of Limone sul Garda.
