Race seven on Wednesday saw McEWEN take a second place finish and race eight , he again showed his skill at the helm, as he and crewmate and brother Ian, further improved their chances of winning the Worlds by finishing first for an overall point standing of 15.
Their nearest rivals, Alex TAYLOR and Bryan MOBBS, of Great Britain hold second place with a total point score of 29, while Can 2255 skippered by Jason KOBRICK holds on to third place with a total point score of 30.
In the top three are two Canadian boats while the British boat , skippered by Alex Taylor, holds on to a one point lead over third place, after eight
races. Ireland is presently in fifth place, while the nearest American boat is in 17th position. The only other nationality represented at the regatta is Mexico, skippered by Pablo Rabago DORBECKER who holds on to 14th place with 102 points.
