The RS:X Class is offering the opportunity for windsurfers to maximise their preparations for this year's ISAF Sailing World Cup event and the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship with their Reach-4-The-Top Training Camps.
The RS:X Reach-4-the-Top Training Programme provides sailors with an opportunity to join international squad of a maximum of six racers, one week before a major regatta and work one-to-one with an experienced elite windsurfing coach.

For 2010, the proposed Training Camps will support the following events:
27 Mar-2 Apr ISAF Sailing World Cup: Trofeo SAR Princess Sofia MAPFRE Palma de Majorca ESP
23-30 Apr ISAF Sailing World Cup: Semaine Olympique Francaise Hyeres Hyeres FRA
26-30 May ISAF Sailing World Cup: Delta Lloyd Regatta Medemblik NED
24 Jun-2 Jul RS:X Open Youth European Championships Sopot POL
1-10 Jul RS:X European Championships Sopot POL
26 Aug-5 Sep RS:X World Championships Kerteminde DEN

The Open Youth Europeans are conveniently scheduled to take place just before the 2010 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship held in Istanbul, Turkey from 8-17 July. The RS:X Open Youth European Championships is therefore a great opportunity to get some serious pre-regatta training in with one of the Reach-4-The-Top coaches before he casts an experienced eye over your last warm up championships before the big one in Turkey.

The purpose of the Reach-4-The-Top Training Camps is to ensure that the best coaching money can buy is available to you at the smallest possible price.

Joining an international RS:X Training squad allows racers to train within a group. Sailor taking part can measure their speed on all points of sail against a mixed group of known performers. They can see how their technique matches or is different from other participants. There is also the bonus of one-to-one feedback on performance; identifying the areas that need more work and leveraging other people's knowledge to take racing to the next level.

Sailors attending the Training Camps will join the RS:X Class coach at the venue five-days before the first day of registration to do two training sessions per day and nightly video de-briefs in the evening. Then there's the opportunity to take two-days out during regatta set up and registration before going back on the water to race with the Reach-4-The-Top coach in support.

Only six people can take part at each Camp so space is strictly limited.

Costs last year worked out at €uro 70 per head per day excluding coach boat, fuel, accommodation and food. Considering you are being coached by one of the top Olympic windsurfing coaches who has already taken one racer to the gold medal at the RS:X World Championships, this fee is very very good value. You would be paying a minimum of 500% more, if you booked him independently.
