Championships Starts In Rio
Soling Brazilian Championship 2005

Yesterday saw the start of racing at the Yate Clube do Rio de Janeiro as competitors fought it out for the Brazilian Soling Championship.
Local representative,
Brazuka with Renato CUNHA FARIA, Ricardo ERMEL and Eduardo CUNHA FARIA won the only race raced followed by
Team Vipal crewed by Geroge NEHM, Marcos PINTO RIBEIRO and Lucio PINTO RIBEIRO. Both teams are preparing their boats for the World Championship in Tuscany, Italy at the end of May.
The Master Jose LUCIO GLOMB, Sergio GROSSMAN, Enio ARAGON finished the race in third followed by the All Woman Team with Claudia SWAN, Caroline BEJAR and Flavia GORETKIN. The Championship will continue until Sunday with daily starts at 1300 hours local time at the picturesque Guanabara Bay with the Pao de Açucar in the background.
