2.4 Metre World Championship 2005

Livorno, Italy

Today, on the opening day of XXII Trofeo Accademia Navale e Città di Livorno, the Circolo della Vela Marciana Marina (CVMM) officially presented, the 2005 2.4 Metre World Championship, sponsored by car company Kia Motors.

The CVMM President Piero CANOVAI and Race Manager Ermanno VOLONTÈ discussed the schedule of and information about the 2005 World Championship that will be held on Elba Island from 19-25 September.

Already a strong fleet of sailors from all over the world has confirmed their attendance. Approximately 35% of them are disabled sailors, with the 2.4 Metre the Paralympic equipment in the single-person keelboat event.

The International 2.4 Metre Class Association President, Canadian Danny McCOY and Italian Class president Elena POLO also attended the press conference.
