Singapore Crowned New Optimist Asian Team Racing Champions

In a big upset after a tightly contested final, Singapore overcame Malaysia to take Optimist Asian Team Racing Championship in the Pattaya, Thailand. Malaysia won the silver medal at the Optimist Worlds in Austria back in August, an event which Singapore did not even qualify for.
In the petit finale home team Thailand A took the bronze medal to the delight of the large local crowd of spectators. All girl team Thailand B were fourth.
