Germany Dominate After Four Races

H-Boat World Championship

The Indian Summer showed itself at it's best, yesterday with a blue sky and the lake smooth as glass. The sunbathers love it. But the sailors hate it!
After a futile attempt in the morning the third race could finally be started in the afternoon. Dr OESER flew the black flag from the beginning which resulted in a tight but orderly line without any further disqualification. The light north wind shifted to the northeast and freshened to above force two by the end of the shortened course.

After two hours racing Werner FRITZ (GER) with crew members Lars WALTER and Marcus STEINLEIN crossed the finishing line first. Kay NIEDERFAHRENHORST and his crew (GER) followed closely to take second and in third was the Danish crew with Sören WISSING at the tiller.

Second race day: No wind - no race
A beautiful day but unfortunately no sailing event. Inspite of poor wind the boats started, but the "black flag" at the start resulted in 9 disqualification's. At the end of the first beat the wind died and Dr OESER had to abandon the race. This was especially bitter for the crews disqualified since they cannot participate in the third race.
