The annual SportAccord Convention is bringing together over 1,400 figures from across the sporting world. Representatives come from the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), the Association of the International Winter Olympic Federations (AIOWF) and the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF). ISAF President Goran PETERSSON (SWE), previous ISAF President, Paul HENDERSON (CAN) and ISAF Secretary General, Arve SUNDHEIM (NOR) will all be attending the convention.
On 17 April the five bidding cities for the 2012 Olympic Games have been given an exhibition stand and will be making a ten minute presentation to the ASOIF. This will be one of the last opportunities the five cities have of impressing some of the key figures of the Olympic movement before the IOC's votes on the host city for the 2012 Olympic Games on the 6 July in Singapore.
