World Sailing Speed Record Council News

The WSSRC have noted a rather important omission from the web site list of "Ratified Passage Records" - the Transatlantic West to East, Ambrose Light to Lizard Point Single-Handed Record held by Laurent Bourgnon (FRA).

The details are as follows:

Steve Fossett is planning a start on Saturday on the Antigua to Newport record.

Tony Bullimore is starting any day now for a "Performance Certificate" Jamaica (Montego Bay) to the Lizard voyage.

Michael Reppy starting soon on his 3rd attempt on the Transpacific single-handed record. He really deserves to succeed this time.
