Optimist South American Championship
Montevideo

Following the second day of racing at the Optimist South American Championship, the 131 sailors had completed a further 3 races in light breezes, making a total of five so far for the series.
Argentina currently dominate, holding first and second place in the championship, and seven points in front of third placed Erik Brockmann (MEX). First girl is Victoria Travascio (ARG), in sixth place overall.

Gerónimo Batista Palacios (Arg), yesterday's leader after two races, had a shocking start to his second day's racing, dropping to 41 in the first race of the day before gradually picking himself up and finishing second in the final race of the day.
