Vaurien World Championship
Ijsselmeer

83 Vauriens from 10 nations have gathered in Ijsselmeer in the Netherlands for the Vaurien World Championship. There are three titles up for grabs, Open World Champion, Junior World Champion and Women's World Champion.
Six races have been completed so far and it is the Spanish who are dominating the championship. Jesus and Miguel AMALIACH (ESP) currently lead the series despite not yet winning a race and they are followed by fellow Spaniards Sergio BARRIONUEVO and Jesus YAGUE in second. The Dutch team of Johan VISSIA and Helena HUISMAN complete the top three and split the Spanish who are also lying in fourth, fifth and sixth.

The first Junior is Hidde-Jan and Mark HAVEN from the Netherlands who are in seventh place overall. Leading the race for the women's title is Olatz MUNOZ and Jaione AYASTUI (ESP) who are in 15 overall.
