Italians Dominate After Day Four

Day four of the IMS Europeans saw the fifth race of seven scheduled following the previous day's offshore race. Current results show an Italian 1 2 3 as we move into the final stages of the regatta.

The fifth race started late afternoon due to boats only finishing the offshore race early this morning, as well as a lack of breeze on the windward/leeward race area.

90 boats are competing in the event with a total of nine nations represented and it is the Italians who are proving the dominant IMS racers. With a fourth place in race five, Luigi Amedeo MELEGARI, steering his own Grand Soleil 40 "Matrix" is the current leader going into the final two races.

Racing continues today and tomorrow when the European Champions will be crowned.Full results are available on the event website at the address below.
