Conference Outline
V World Conference On Sport And Environment
Building on the success of past events, the IOC, with the Organising Committee for the XX Olympic Winter Games (TOROC) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), will organise the V World Conference on Sport and Environment.
The theme of the conference will be "Partnership for Sustainable Development". Bringing together representatives of the sports world and environmental experts, the Conference will explore ways in which the Olympic Movement can best strive towards the protection of environment and the promotion of sustainable development. Environment being the third dimension of Olympism, alongside sport and culture, this event provides the opportunity to share views and experiences and take concrete measures in this field. All meetings will take place at the Lingotto Conference Centre and will be open to the media.
