After extreme scrutiny ISAF has authorised the first ISAF Recognized Rating System for a broad spectrum of multi-crewed offshore yachts.
This recognition, which was finalised during the 2003 ISAF November Conference has been asked for by many of the ISAF Member National Authorities who have local racing without a national rating office, and who want certificates that can be accessed, cheaply and electronically from a central source.
To apply for an IRC rating you need to complete the application form, which can be obtained by:

Application Form (PDF file) which you can then fax or post to the rating office with your payment.

You should allow time for the application to be processed, as applications can take as long as 3 or 4 weeks during January - August

In November 2002, introduced the designation of an ISAF International or Recognized Rating System. Any rating system applying for ISAF recognition must meet specific criteria as detailed in
ISAF Regulation 28.
