Cadet Worlds

Whilst no report is available from yesterday's race day 5, Maria AGUSTINA TORRE and Maria DEL ROSAR TORRE (ARG) hold their overall lead over the chasing Belgians.
Day 5 saw more of the same from the previous day, with light shifting winds testing the sailors.

Whilst the two Maria's suffered from a BFD in Wednesday's final race 8 due to a black flag infringement, they were able to redeem themselves with a 3 and 8 yesterday, and with the second discard now in play remove the BFD from their counting places.

However, with only a 3 point margin over Anne-Sophie BLIJ and Mathieu SMIDT (BEL) they are going to have to work hard to maintain their lead throughout today and claim the World Championship title.

Last year's World Champions, Mariano Pelligrino and Santiago VERDINO (ARG) are not competing, but Argentina will certainly wish to retain its hold on the Championship. Interestingly, Argentina hold the title from both 2001 and 2002.
