The first day of the 2003 European Championship was completed in perfect conditions, sunshine and 6-10 knots of wind.
Defending World Champion Arne Sjöberg dominated the three races, with two bullets and one second place. The racing of the 30 boat fleet was however very tight with top places shared by many of the Swedish and Norwegian yachts, whilst central European competitors seemed to struggle a bit in the currents.
