Copa del Rey
Palma de Mallorca

In the last day of the Copa del Rey-Agua Brava, the predicted boats took the titles, with Galicia in IMS 500 and Italtel in IMS 600.
The crew of both boats performed excellently, not only in retaining their advantage, but also remaining ahead of the chasing Bribón and Zurich.

In the final race, in IMS 500, Caixa Galicia of Roberto BERMÚDEZ finished second behind the winner, Balearia helmed by Antonio GOROSTEGUI. With this first placing, Balearia was able to place third overall in the final score.

Third place in the final race was claimed by HM King Juan Carlos of Spain's Bribon, which resulted in a well achieved second position in the overall results. Subaru X-Sport roused to the occasion, reaching fourth position. Fifth was Banco Espirito Santo, one of the best teams of this regatta.

In IMS 600, the final triumph was obtained by Italtel skippered by Vasco VASCOTTO, who won five of the nine races. Second was Zurich helmed by Spain's Jordi Calafat. Wind helmed by Lorenzo BRESSANI placed third, a great team which was using this boat for the first time.

The National Teams Trophy was won by Spain thanks to the Caixa Galicia-Zurich Team, on top of the Italians Subaru X-Sport and Italtel.

In this 22nd Copa del Rey-Agua Brava the great level of the participants remains evident, with America's Cup crews and state of the art designs.

The regatta enjoyed excellent and consistent winds, with superb race management by the Real Club Náutico of Palma de Mallorca.
