The United States Sailing Association (US SAILING) will hold its Annual General Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, from 16-19 October.
The event, held at Adams Mark Hotel, is open to members of the organization as well as non-members and offers a great opportunity for attendees to get reports from the past year and participate in planning meetings for the upcoming year. At this year's meeting, a new US SAILING president will be elected and new officers will be named to the Board of Directors.
The four-day meeting will be filled with more than 60 committee meetings and an awards presentation dinner. Committees scheduled to have meetings include the Offshore, Championships, Safety at Sea, Sailors With Special Needs, and Training Committees. The awards presentation dinner will be held on Saturday, October 18. US SAILING awards that will be presented that night include the Herreshoff Trophy (awarded annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the sport of sailing in this country) and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club Trophy (presented to a yacht club for excellence in race management).
