Spanish and Dutch Crews In Top Positions

Christmas Race

Following some very windy days, N winds and the beginning of the week and SE towards, yesterday's races started with SE winds enabling the completion of one race in classes Yngling, Tornado and finn.
The SE wind, 15 knots of the morning droped towards midday and the afternoon. Dutch and Spanish crews are in the top places.

Rafael Trujillo (La Línea de Mar a Mar), silver medallist at the Finn class World championship won the first race confirming his good level. Trujillo was very happy with his result and declared: "We have been able to complete one race and it's been a good race for me. I feel very comfortable in this regatta". Second place in the Finn Class is for Slovenian sailor Gaspar Vincec followed in third place by Dutch sailor Stefan de Vries.

Top finishing places in the other two classes that sailed today. The winner in the Tornado Class has been Dutch crew Booth/Dercksen who use Palamos as their European training venue. Spanish team Sanchez Ferrer/Barrionuevo (Murcia Turística) finished second followed by Russian team Kirilyuk/Ushov, winners of last year's edition.

In the Yngling class , first place has been for Dutch crew Thies/Bes/de Jong followed by Spanish pre-olympic team Azon/Pisonera/Ferrer (Ignacio de Ros-MC) and in third place, Dutch crew Hin/Zuiderbaan/De Lange.
