Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2005
Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy

The racing division joined the other classes in a lay day yesterday on day four of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo, Italy, as the re-sail of racing division's race one was postponed due to light wind and heavy fog.
Yesterday was a scheduled lay day or re-sail day for the fleet and the Race Committee had planned to re-sail the racing division's first race from Monday, which was discarded. Racing is scheduled to resume today. The forecast is for sunny skies and 20-25 knot winds.

In other racing division news, the international jury rejected Skandia's request for redress filed on Wednesday. Australian owner and helmsman Grant WHARINGTON requested redress after Skandia was scored OCS in Wednesday's race for failing to re-start correctly. The request was ruled invalid for being submitted after the filing deadline had expired.
