St. Quay-Portrieux, France
ISAF Women's Match Racing World Champion Sally BARKOW (USA) scored her first match racing win of the year, overcoming a strong home challenge at the ISAF Grade 1 St. Quay Women Match Racing in France.
BARKOW defeated Anne-Claire
LE BERRE (FRA) in the final, whilst number one in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings Claire
LEROY (FRA) took third place at her home yacht club ahead of Christine
BRIAND (FRA). This gave France three of the top four positions, but
BARKOW took the honours, in a timely and confidence boasting win with the ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championship in Hamilton, Bermuda now less than one month away.
LEROY and BRIAND will also both be competing in Hamilton, as will fifth place Jenny AXHEDE (SWE), and Christelle PHILIPPE (FRA), who finished seventh overall.
