Byte World Championship
National Sailing Centre

Jeremy Koo Win Ken (MAS) is the new Byte World Champion. With no result outside the top 10, Jeremy remained consistent in the 11 race series, including taking two bullets.
It was a double-victory for Malaysia as team mate Tiffany Koo Yee Chin who placed second behind Jeremy, also took the ladies title.

57 competitors from 7 countries competed in the Byte World Championships at the National Sailing Centre in Singapore. The Singapore Sailing Federation did an excellent job of putting on the first non-North American World Championships and celebrating the New Year with a typical Singaporean party.

After counting 9 results from 11 races, the World Champion title went to Malaysia's Jeremy Koo Win Ken. Jeremy's finished the regatta with a total of 27 points and did not once finish out of the top 10.

In 2nd place overall was Tiffany Koo Yee Chin also of Malaysia who was the first female and the first youth and capped off her regatta with a bullet in the final race.
