Soling North American Championship 2005

Toronto, Canada

The sea breeze played a big role in the conditions on the final day of racing at the 2005 Soling North American Championship. Much like Saturday the winds were light but gradually grew stronger over late morning and into the afternoon and the flat water gave way to a small chop that built up as the winds strengthened.

CAN 17 (Rick HUCZEK, Dave HYMERS and Will LOGAR) came up with a big win by sticking to their game plan of going to where the pressure was building and staying in clear air.

CAN 17's win moved them into first place overall in the Silver fleet. Hans FOGH and Stu WALKER rounded out the top spots in race 7 with second and third place finishes respectively.

Choosing not to compete in race 7 after locking up first place in the first three days of racing Bill ABBOTT, Joanne ABBOTT and Brad BOSTON (CAN 1) took out the photographer boat and watched the race.
