Dragon World Championship

Heat 2 of the Hellenic Cup was abandoned again today as the strong gusty winds continued.
Howling south-westerly wind that consistently blew in the mid 30s, and gusted up to 48 knots created dangerous conditions on land, as well as on the water. Heat 2 was cancelled before the race began.

Heat 2 will now be held tomorrow morning before Heat 3 in the afternoon. Hopefully the wind will abate, not only so the Dragon sailors can continue the world championships, but also for the firefighters battling bushfires that are popping up around Hobart.
