Neil Pryde RS:X Pacific Coast Championship 2005
San Francisco, California, USA

On Friday 23 September the second Neil Pryde RS:X event will commence in San Francisco, California, USA hosted by the St. Francis Yacht Club.
The riders can expect ideal wind conditions at the event, reaching anything between twelve and 25 knots, which will make for some fierce competition over the three day event. 13 races are scheduled for the weekend, with three on Friday, six on Saturday and four on Sunday. The scheduled time for first race of each day is as follows:
  • Friday 23 September 1500 hours local time - 3 races
  • Saturday 24 September 1130 - 6 races
  • Sunday 25 September 1230 - 4 races

40 competitors will be participating in a very experienced field which will include current Windsurfer Olympic Champion Gal FRIDMAN (ISR), two-time Olympic medallist Mike GEBHARDT (USA) and 1984 Olympian Peter BONELLO (MLT).

Also present at the event will be Formula World Cup Pros Sam IRELAND (CAN), South American & Brazilian Champion Wilhem SHURMANN (BRA) and former US Junior Champion Seth BESSE (USA).

Amongst the juniors will be held highly regarded Americans Mark BOERSMA, Bob WILLIS and Angela HURLEY.
