All Six of the Clipper yachts have now assembled in Liverpool on the north west coast of England in preparation for the start of the bi-annual race next week.
Representing six international cities around the world, including Bristol, Cape Town, Glasgow, Hong Kong, Jersey, Liverpool, London and New York, the race, which takes amateur sailors on a 35,000 nautical mile, 16 stop race around the globe will start from Liverpool's Albert Dock on Sunday 27 October.
5 out of the 7 worldwide continents are visited and individual crewmembers can choose to sail the whole distance or, any six week "leg" of the course.
The format of the race, which pits cities and nations against each other will be fiercely competed with last time's winner Bristol Clipper, skippered this time round by Richard Butler (GBR). The skipper is the only paid crewmember on the boat.
