Star European Championship
Yacht Club Italiano, Genoa

The race officer had the trickiest job of the day at the Star European championship yesterday as he tried to get the 65 boats away in the varying conditions that were being experienced.
The sailors saw a range of conditions, as the weather was set on being indecisive; breeze came in from all directions and shut off altogether once the rain started. Unfortunately all hope of getting a race underway was abandoned and the sailors were sent back to shore.

This means that the championship is now behind schedule and competitors forfeit their rest day today in a hope to get racing back on track. Racing is due to conclude on Friday.

Results still remain open with only two points between first placed Mark Reynolds/Austin Sperry (USA) and Fredrik Loof/Andres Ekstrom (SWE).
