First to cross the finishing line were KRÖGER and Nick SCANDONE (USA), two of the 35 disabled sailors competing at the Worlds, who are both coming off the back of strong performances in the 2.4 Metre at the IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship held in Denmark at the beginning of the month.

After five races KRÖGER holds a ten point lead after discarding his black flag result in race one. SCANDONE lies second on 17 points, two ahead of bronze medallist at the Paralympics and the IFDS Worlds Thierry SCHMITTER (NED). Sweden's Stellan BERLIN is fourth on 25 points, with Helena LUCAS (GBR) the top women in fifth.
Today three more races are scheduled starting from 1200.
