Noumea - Mooloolaba Yacht Race

At 18:40 (Noumea Time) on the 12 June Drina and Liberation advised that they had withdrawn from the Aircalin Noumea to Mooloolaba Yacht Race to the virtually non existent wind conditions, and the prospect of little, if any, for the next two days.

It is likely that when the wind finally settles in it will be a very light south westerly, and on the nose, making it a beat to the finish, and adding to the already frustrating conditions. It is expected that Fruition will also withdraw, unless a breeze develops in the next 12 hours.

Maverick II was due into Mooloolaba this morning (Noumea Time), but we have no news yet as to whether they have finished or not yet.
