Day two of the Europe Europeans got underway in Nieuwport, Belgium, in a gentle 13 knots of breeze.

The 124 competitors in the women's fleet sailed two races, and 94 in the men's fleet sailed three races and it was the Finnish sailor, Sari Multala who came out on top in the women. Scoring a fourteenth and her third first place, puts her in first place overall by four points from Christiane Petzke of Germany.

In the men's racing Patrick Johansson (SWE) has moved into the lead with a fourth, second and a first in yesterdays racing. Whilst the leader from Day One Soren Johnsen (DEN) has dropped down to second position overall.

Racing continues through until Thursday when the 2002 Europe European Champion will be decided.
