RYA Publishes `Start Sailing - Beginner|s Handbook|

After years of discussion and consultation with sailing schools and other experts around the UK, the RYA's new National Sailing Scheme" has got under way with the launch of Start Sailing.
Start Sailing is the Beginner's Handbook for dinghy and multihull sailing.

Whether you take an RYA course at a recognised school or learn from a friend, Start Sailing is packed with the essential knowledge you need to get afloat. Using full colour illustrations and photographs, Start Sailing guides you through the basics with clear and simple instructions.

Olympic Gold medallist Shirley Robertson says in the foreword, 'The RYA National Sailing Scheme ensures that you learn safely and at your own pace. It demystifies our sport and allows you to reach achievable goals and have fun while you are learning.'
