The 367 sailors from 67 nations at the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship are rigged and ready to race at the 44th edition of the regatta.
Following the opening ceremony the night prior sailors arrived at Clube Nautico de Tavira with sunny skies and a steady on-site breeze. However it was not the case outside the venue and on the water with light winds present early in the morning.
The first race is scheduled to start at 13:00 local time however the breeze does not look like it is playing ball. The breeze is expected to swing to the south west at 13:00 and whilst it's set to be light at that time it will pick up at 16:00 with racing expected around that time.
The 420 and Laser Radial Boys and Girls fleets have two races scheduled whilst the RS:X Boys and Girls, Open 29er and Open SL16 have three races scheduled.
