Anne-Claire Le Berre (FRA) and her team (Mathilde Geron, Sigrid Langeau, and Alice Ponsar) won the 2013 Championnat de France de Match Racing Féminin (French Women's Match Racing Championship) in Saint Quay Portrieux after the last day of racing was shortened due to high winds.
At the end of the Round Robin Le-Berre held the overall lead and as high winds approached the decision was made to send the teams ashore at 10:15 local time on the final day.
The Race Committee took the decision to call the day off at 13:30 ensuring Le Berre was crowned French Champion.
At the conclusion Le Berre said, "We are obviously very happy to have won the title of champion of France, although we would have preferred to return to the water. We will continue to move forward and try to participate in the World Championship, it will depend on our budget , availability of girls and conditions of entry. I want to thank my teammates Mathilde Geron (CMV Saint- Brieuc), Sigrid Langeau (SRR La Rochelle) and Alice Ponsar ( SR Brest )."
Julie Bossard who finished runner up added, "Obviously, we are disappointed and frustrated by not being able to go through the competition this morning but there was too much wind."
