Rolling waves and light winds dominated at the Quebramar Europa Cup, Cascais. Portugal.
A total of nine nations and over 70 sailors took part in the yearly event in the south of Portugal. A total of six races were completed with one discard.
The three days of racing in light southerly winds of about 6 to 8 knots proved a challenge for sailors as they had to deal with the big waves that typically the southern wind brings, making it hard to gather speed.
All the three fleets were won by visiting nations and only in the Radial there was a tie between Jon Emmet and local sailor Santiago Sampaio for first place with the Brit taking the title.
