Ten days before the entry deadline, only a few remaining places are available for delegates. The seminar, which will be conducted by ISAF Council member and Race Management expert Tomasz Chamera (POL), will see attendees from Hungary, Croatia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Korea and Austria.
The seminar will start on Friday 12 March with class room sessions and discussions to improve the exchange of knowledge between the race management experts. The written examination will close the activities in Neusiedl am See on Sunday afternoon. Both the Seminar and the Test are requirements to become an ISAF International Race Officer.
The venue for the Seminar will be the National Training Centre in Neusiedl am See, approximately 55km from Vienna and only 25 minutes from Vienna International Airport. The organizers will provide a shuttle service for all delegates from abroad. The centre which is located at the waterfront of Lake Neusied, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was the headquarter for the ISAF World Sailing Games 2006.
"We are very proud to host an ISAF Race Management Seminar in Neusiedl and we are sure that there will be a very positive legacy for Central and Eastern Europe."
Said Helmut Czasny, International Race Officer and the Seminar coordinator. "This will be a unique experience and will boost the quality of race management here and in the surrounding countries."
