While it is not anticipated that this policy will change, sailors are advised that NZOC could request changes to achieve complete alignment with its New Zealand Team Selection policy for the 2008 Olympic Games. NZOC's selection policy is close to finalization and approval by its board. Yachting New Zealand will engage with NZOC over the next few weeks to ensure alignment, and will likely be the first sport to complete this process.
New Zealand sailors who are currently campaigning or intending to campaign for the 2008 Olympic Games are invited to apply to Yachting New Zealand for a copy of its Olympic Games 2008 - Olympic Selection Policy for Nomination to NZOC.
Upon receipt of requests for copies of the policy, sailors will be forwarded a confidentiality agreement, designed to confine knowledge of Yachting New Zealand's approach to nomination, to campaigning New Zealand sailors, and not the rest of the world. Once a signed confidentiality agreement has been received by Yachting New Zealand, sailors will be forwarded a copy of the policy.
Requests for a copy of this policy should be addressed to Leslie EGNOT, YNZ Olympic Operations Manager and Olympic Committee Convener.
