Celebrations as Laser 4.7 World Champions are crowned

Balaton Laser Worlds: Laser 4.7 Youth World & European Championships
Balatonfured, Hungary

Morales Gonzalez Silvia (ESP) and Cetin Anil (TUR) are crowned the Laser 4.7 World and European Champions wtih two races sailed on the final day on Lake Balaton.
The last day of the regatta started with AP up, again, but the Race Committee took the fleets afloat soon, to take advantage of any potential weather window building up over the morning. Eventually, two good races were run for all fleets in a N-NE breeze of 5-10 knots. The European and World titles at the end of the day were decided after seven races for the boys and eight races for the girls.

A nice closing ceremony on the open air podium of the town of Balatonfured ended this Championships.

The Balatonfuredi Yacht Club and the cast of the international officials are to be congratulated upon both their professionalism and overall conduct of the regatta.
