Three races on the fourth day of the Europeans saw GOODISON add to his overnight lead, with scores of 3,5,3 putting him 14 points ahead of Roope SUOMALAINEN (FIN). After six races in Poland, the Brit is the only one of the 137 strong fleet yet to have posted a double figure score, and indeed is counting only top five results so far.
Onto The Gold Fleet
With the fleet now split into gold and silver fleet for the remainder of the regatta - with the gold fleet battling for the ten Medal Race spots - SUOMALAINEN is three points ahead of third place Johan WIGFORSS (SWE), with 2003 World Champion Gustavo LIMA (POR) just behind him in fourth. A strong third day from Maciej GRABOWSKI (POL) also saw the big home hope lift himself up into contention.
It also turned up to be a good day for ISAF World Sailing Games Champion Tom SLINGSBY (AUS), whose failed to finish race five but got a redress of 5 points, making his a 5,5,2 day and moving him up to eleventh overall.
