Youth Olympic Games in Singapore

Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games
Singapore

Elizabeth Wauchope (CAY) first tried sailing as a nine-year-old at summer camp in the Cayman Islands. She won a race and has been hooked ever since.
Six years later, she is still pursuing her passion as a pupil at boarding school in England and makes the most of warmer waters when she returns home to the Caribbean for the holidays.

Elizabeth Wauchope, who trains at a reservoir near King's School, Canterbury, finished second in the 2010 national (Great Britain) school fleet racing championships.

She received an unused quota place at the Youth Olympic Games.

The multi-talented 15-year-old also plays netball, hockey and tennis and has been awarded an art scholarship by her school.
