Nivea Optimist European Championship 2005
Gdynia, Poland

Following three further races yesterday Sweden's Emma OLJELUND and Jacob LUNDQVIST lead the two fleets at the Nivea Optimist European Championship in Gdynia, Poland.
OLJELUND has a four point lead over Emily DELLENBAUGH (USA) but holds a comforting sixth to discard. Camilla MARINO (ITA) lies third. The girls' second race was particularly affected by a windshift but has been ruled by jury chairman Giorgio LAURO to have been fair.

LUNDQVIST is eight points clear of Ante BOTICA (CRO) and Akiklas DROUGAS (GRE) but some of the best results of the day came from Malta's Karl CREMONA now lying in fourth overall.

Racing continues today and Saturday with eleven of the twelve scheduled races needing to be sailed before a second discard is taken.
