ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards 2005

On 26 September 2005, ISAF announced the sailors shortlisted for the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards 2005. A photo gallery illustrating the sailors in action has now been published on the World Sailor of the Year Awards microsite.

Taking place on Tuesday 8 November 2005 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel in Singapore, the evening will be hosted by a renowned international sailor and will recognize and honour the outstanding achievements of those male and female sailors shortlisted.

The 117 ISAF Member National Authorities (MNAs) have been invited to vote for the one female and one male nominee whom they feel deserve the honour of receiving the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Award 2005. The shortlisted sailors are a fascinating mix, presenting outstanding achievements from across the spectrum of our sport, and have set the race for some close voting.

Tickets must be booked with the ISAF Secretariat by 21 October 2005 using the Official Ticket Order Form which is available at www.sailing.org/worldsailor/2005ticketorderform.doc. The evening opens with a Singapore Sling reception, followed by a dinner featuring traditional Singaporean cuisine and the Awards Presentations.
