On Saturday 1 October the inaugural Annual General Meeting of Sailability World took place in Italy. This organization has been established to protect and promote the interests of people with any type of disability as well as disadvantaged communities who wish to take part in sailing (boating) throughout the world.
To date 17 countries are involved with Sailability activities. Representatives from ten countries attended the AGM, where seven members were elected to the board of Sailability World, these being

- Jackie KAY - Australia
As a not for profit organization Sailability World is registered in Australia.
Jackie KAY, cofounder, said, 'There are many parts of the world where people, especially youngsters would derive immense benefit from having a Sailability group in their country. The skills and human resources of those countries where Sailability is now well established have now been brought together to make this happen.'
