Confirmation of an additional baggage allowance for windsurfers (who are accustomed to flying with all their equipment) will remove the 'Russian roulette' of receiving excess baggage fines when trying to fly with equipment without any prior arrangements set in place.
Sail Melbourne is hosting the 2005 Formula Windsurfing World Championships at Elwood Sailing Club between 9-17 December 2005. This spectacular event will involve 100-150 Formula Windsurfers racing at terrific speeds along Elwood Beach within easy sight of the public standing on the beach. With confirmation of the Singapore Airlines baggage arrangements ensures the international fleet to contest the event will be the best possible.
The inaugural RS:X Oceanic Championships will be held as part of the Sail Melbourne Olympic and Invited Classes Regatta at Sandringham Yacht Club on 9-14 January 2006. As the first annual ISAF Grade 1 event to host the new Olympic Windsurfer class this event is sure to build a terrific fleet as sailors race to build their experience on the new board. Confirmation of the free of charge carriage of equipment for sailors flying with Singapore Airlines will make the classes involvement in the event even bigger than expected.
This offer is active immediately and all windsurfers wishing to capitalize on the Singapore Airlines offer are encouraged to check the Sail Melbourne website for further information on how to book tickets.
For any further questions in connection to the details and necessary booking arrangements to secure the additional 50kg of luggage please contact the Sail Melbourne office.
