IndoChine Ambassador's Cup 2005

Held at the Changi Sailing Club in Singapore for the sixth year in a row, the IndoChine Ambassador's Cup has developed into a very popular yacht racing and social event on the local sailing calendar where Ambassadors from the International Diplomatic and Consular Corps relax in a day of sailing followed by an informal reception. This year's event will be chaired by the Peru Ambassador, H.E. Arturo MONTOYA.
For the 6th consecutive year, the Indochine Group of bars, cafes and restaurants is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of this prominent and distinguished sporting and social event and will be hosting the IndoChine Ambassador's Cup Opening Ceremony on 15 October at the Nude Supperclub + Bar in IndoChine Wisma Atria. The Opening Ceremony will be a private affair, attended by various Ambassadors, diplomats and VIPs from multinational companies involved in the IndoChine Ambassador's Cup race, which is in aid of the Singapore Disability Sports Council.

The IndoChine and Changi Sailing Club will be working closely with Singapore Disability Sports Council to enhance the lifestyles of the disabled and integrate them into the community through recreational sports and activities and to create support for the sporting and recreational needs of the disabled community in Singapore. As part of this effort, an auction will be organized for the evening of 15 October.

At a glance, the sixth IndoChine Ambassador's Cup is a passage race around Pulau Ubin and each Ambassador is matched with a volunteer sailing boat and crew. The Ambassador is then appointed the skipper of the yacht and represents his respective country whose flag will be flown on the yacht. Ambassadors with sailing experience will be offered to take the helm and an estimate total of 20 Ambassadors and 30 sailing boats will be participating in this year's event.
