Successful ISAF Inspection of Laser And Laser Radial Equipment For 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition
The Olympic Lasers Lined Up
London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition
Weymouth and Portland, Great Britain
On Monday 18 June Rob Taylor, ISAF Technical Coordinator and Jean-Luc Michon, International Laser Class Chief Measurer travelled to the LaserPerformance factory in Long Buckby, near Northampton in the UK to undertake the ISAF inspection of all the equipment to be supplied for the Laser and Laser Radial fleets at the Olympic Sailing Competition.
The inspection of equipment manufacturers forms part of ISAF's responsibility for technical control and direction of the Olympic Sailing Competition. The equipment is inspected in preparation for its allocation to the sailors who will compete at this year's Games. All the equipment has been produced to a very high standard and ISAF is very happy with the quality of the equipment being supplied to the Olympic Sailing Competition.
ISAF would like to thank the staff at LaserPerformance, in particular Chris Tunstall, LaserPerformance Technical Manager and Ollie Taylor, LaserPerformance Event Coordinator who were on hand to show the inspection team around the factory.
There will be 41 women and 49 men going for gold at London 2012. To see who's been named so far click here
