The Women's Forum Agenda is based on the theme, 'Opportunity for Change' and will focus on Women in ISAF and Women in the Olympics.
The ISAF Women's Forum is set to meet from 0730-0930 hours local time on Sunday 6 November. The Women's Forum includes ISAF Vice-Presidents Nucci CEPPELLINI (ITA), Teresa LARA (VEN) and Fiona BARRON (GBR) and the women members of all ISAF Committees, including some of the most famous names from women's sailing like Olympic gold medallists Alessandra SENSINI (ITA) and Sofia BEKATOROU (GRE).
Late Submission: 025-05 on the format for the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition comes after recent formal meetings in October 2005 between ISAF and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS). ISAF received very clear guidance on the changes appropriate to the sport to ensure it adapts for television, whilst the IOC also clearly advised that the 'heart and soul of sailing' must not be changed.
The submission will be considered at the ISAF Annual Conference in Singapore along with nine other submissions (047-055) on the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition Format.
Both the full Women's Forum Agenda and Late Submission: 025-05 are published in full on the ISAF Annual Conference microsite.
