Tornado European Championship 2005
Västervik, Sweden

After one more race at the ISAF Grade C1 Tornado European Championship in Västervik, Sweden, last year's winners Darren BUNDOCK and crew Aaron WORRALL (AUS) are hanging onto their lead, with World Champions Fernando ECHAVARRI and Anton PAZ (ESP) right behind them.
The competitors went out in seven to nine knots of winds but as the race approached the finish the wind gradually died, meaning race five never got underway.

Francois MORVAN and Matthieu VANDAME (FRA) took the bullet in yesterday's race to move them up to third overall. ECHAVARRI and PAZ followed them in in second to record their third straight top three finish and move within one point of BUNDOCK and WORRALL. The Australians were not far behind coming in sixth.

Olympic Champions Roman HAGARA and Hans Peter STEINACHER (AUT) continued their erratic form with a 16th place, but with the other leaders dropping further back they move up to fourth overall. ISAF Grade 1 Semaine Olympique Française winners Xavier REVIL and Christophe ESPAGNON make it two French teams in the top five, whilst Olympic silver medallists John LOVELL and Charlie OGLETREE (USA) follow in sixth.
