All IROs have been requested to indicate if they would like to attend the conference. It is intended that MNAs looking to develop their race management programme, who do not yet have an IRO, will be invited to identify a national race officer to attend.
The proposed conference schedule sets the start at 0900 hours local time on Saturday 11 March and the close at 1600 on Sunday. Attendees are invited to arrive late Friday afternoon on 10 March in time to attend a welcome reception at 1900 at the ISAF Secretariat, Town Quay, Southampton, Great Britain.
The conference will take place at the Holiday Inn, Southampton, located close to the ISAF Secretariat.
Refreshments, lunches, and a dinner on the Saturday evening will be paid for but travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the delegates. However, in view of the distance that some IROs will have to travel in order to attend, some travel grants will be available for those IROs from ISAF Groups I, J,K, L, M, O, P and Q and further details of how to apply for travel grants and the conditions attached to grants being allocated will be made known at a later date.
Updates on the programme of the conference along with the formal invitation, accommodation options, travel links and other general information will be highlighted on the ISAF Race Officials microsite - www.sailing.org/raceofficials.
