The shore team of Warnemünder Segelclub and the race committee, helmed by Bernd Leopold KÄTHER also used the PreWorlds to get in shape. On Wednesday, the fluky northwesterly favoured lighter teams and light air experts. On Thursday, bright sunshine generated a nice 15 knot northeasterly thermal breeze.
Christian KELLNER and Klaus STAMMERJOHANN (GER) dominated the event with two second places and a third. The US team showed a strong performance with bullets for Howard HAMLIN and Cam LEWIS and Mike MARTIN and Jesse FALSONE and an overall second place for Mark IVEY and Shane ILLIDGE. Jens FINDEL and Johannes TELLEN made it two German teams in the top three.
