Yesterday was a horrible day for the British pair Christina BASSADONE and Saskia CLARK who had been having a fantastic regatta. They finished in 21 and 12 to fall down to fourth overall, going from eight points off the top spot to 19 points behind. Defending champions Therese TORGERSSON and Vendela ZACHRISSON (SWE) move up one to fifth overall at the expense of Nike KORNECKI and Vered BOUSKILA (ISR) who will be hoping to discard the 15 they scored in race eight. KORNECKI and BOUSKILA are the only other team besides the regatta leaders to have won more than one race.

As in the women's fleet the guys at the top continue to run away with things in San Francisco. Nathan WILMOT and Malcolm PAGE (AUS) slipped slightly yesterday finishing second and fourth but they still performed better than everyone else. Their lead has now increased to 13 points from Gildas PHILIPPE and Nicolas LEBERRE (FRA).
Nick ROGERS and Joe GLANFIELD (GBR) closed the gap by one point on PHILIPPE and LEBERRE after posting their second bullet of the championship in race seven. They are now only three points behind. The current leaders of the ISAF World Sailing Rankings, Alvaro MARINHO and Miguel NUNES (POR) hold onto their place in fourth overall after two more top ten finishes.
Dimitry BEREZKIN and Alexander ZYBIN (RUS) had the best day of their championship by a long way finishing seventh in race seven and taking the bullet in race eight - the only team not in the overall top ten to win a race. Currently in 14 overall the pair will be hoping for a similar performance today to further progress up the leaderboard.
